New image of Meryl Streep as Maggie Thatcher arrives
Also featuring Jim Broadbent as husband Denis
The first image of Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher was greeted with a phenomenal response, so here's a fresh shot of her in action.
The movie in question is The Iron Lady , a biopic of the Conservative former-PM directed by Mamma Mia! 's Phyllida Lloyd. Jim Broadbent co-stars with Streep as husband Denis Thatcher.
The new snap, which appeared on the Mail Online, captures the jubilant couple at the 1980 party conference in Brighton. Not pictured is the swarm of angry protesters outside.
The image is a further testament to Streep's uncanny likeness to Thatcher, with Broadbent also bearing a convincing similarity to his real-life counterpart.

The movie also features Anthony Head as Geoffrey Howe, Richard E. Grant as Michael Heseltine and Michael Pennington as Michael Foot.
The Iron Lady is expected to be released at some point later this year. Presumably Streep's Oscar nomination is already in the post.
