New image of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Tomb
Action icons team-up… again
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are reteaming in prison-break thriller The Tomb , and a first official image has been released (well, we're not counting the bizarre hospital shot from earlier this year ).
The pair wear matching prison garb, and here Arnie rocks a goatee beard, smattered with a little more grey than we’re used to seeing on him.
The Tomb sees Stallone’s architect framed and locked up in an inescapable prison - of his own design. Presumably he didn't plan in some sort of secret escape tunnel, otherwise we're in for a short, tension-free affair.
Sly and Arnie are currently doing the rounds promoting The Expendables 2 , which is just one of several on the latter’s comeback slate. He’ll also be seen in The Last Stand , and then there’s that talk of Twins sequel, Triplets , which just won’t go away...
The Tomb is set to open next year.

Over the past decade I've worked in various roles for TF online and in print, including at GamesRadar+, and you can often hear me nattering on the Inside Total Film podcast. Bucket-list-ticking career highlights have included reporting from the set of Tenet and Avengers: Infinity War, as well as covering Comic-Con, TIFF and the Sundance Film Festival.
