New Marvel One-Shot announced

Marvel have announced Thor: The Dark World ' s One-Shot, and it's going to be called All Hail The King .

For the uninitiated, Marvel One-Shots are short films that are canon within the Marvel universe. So, stuff like Agent Carter , which expanded Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter character from Captain America , and appeared on last year's Iron Man 3 Blu-ray release.

Now, unless Stan Lee and his mates have convinced Bruce Campbell to strap Ash's chainsaw back on, or Elvis Presley to put down his burger-flipper and come out of retirement, we reckon the king of the title is probably going to be Tom Hiddleston.

After all - *OH MY ODIN, SPOILERS* - Tom did end up as king of Asgard at the close of The Dark World . That was an additional scene, shot almost as an afterthought according to our interview with Marvel honcho Kevin Feige, so perhaps the team have had some more ideas they'd like to explore.

There's certainly plenty of potential for expansion - how did Tom overcome Odin? Actually, where is Odin? How will Loki exploit his new position of power?

However, Sir Ben Kingsley did mention recently that he'd filmed a short for Marvel , so we're not entirely sure how that fits into this. Could All Hail The King be the Mandarin / Loki crossover that fan-fic writers across the universe have been craving?

Take another look at that Kevin Feige interview below, then tell us what you think All Hail The King could be about, by commenting below.
