New MGS4 location: South Africa?
Konami producer hints at Snake's return to Outer Heaven
Nov 7, 2007
Konami producer Ryan Payton has hinted that one of the two yet-to-be-revealed locations in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be a place "you've been waiting to visit for 20 years".
By our reckoning (and Wikipedia's records) this makes it terribly likely that Snake adventures will come full circle, bringing him back to the South African mercenary fortress Outer Heaven that he infiltrated in the very first Metal Gear game.Which was releasedin 1987,exactly two decades ago.

Payton has revealed that there will be five different locations. Three we already know about- South America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Which leaves two, one of which - the "last location" according to Payton - we're certain will be South Africa, and the remains of Outer Heaven.
But what about the other secret site? Flip over the page to see our five best guesses as to where Snake might be heading...
