Star Trek 3
Director : Joe Cornish
Cast : Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg
Genre : Sci-fi
Plot : With JJ Abrams off in a galaxy far, far away working on Star Wars: Episode VII , Paramount is considering signing Attack The Block director Joe Cornish to continue their own space-set franchise.
It would be a big leap in scale for the Brit director, whose Block was made for just $8m in London, but he's displayed a firm grip on the sci-fi genre so Trek 3 should be in safe hands if he signs the dotted line.

Pet Sematary
Director : Juan Carlos Fresnadillo
Cast : TBC
Genre : Horror
Plot : Another Stephen King adaptation currently in the works (alongside Cell and The Stand ), Pet Sematary is a tale of dead things coming back to life.
It was previously adapted into a film in 1989 (with a script by King himself), but with 27 Weeks Later director Fresnadillo calling action on this new adaptation, it shouldn't scrimp on the scares.

Chronicle 2
Director: TBC
Cast: TBC
Genre: Superhero Action
Plot: Chronicle was a fresh and surprising look at the superhero genre, and acted as a springboard for some of the hottest up and coming actors around. Insidious: Chapter 3
Director: TBC
Cast: TBC
Genre: Horror
Plot: From the moment James Wan announced his sequel to Insidious would be subtitled 'Chapter 2', it was almost guaranteed the franchise would evolve into a Saw/Paranormal Activity yearly-spawning affair. And with Chapter 2's massive success, it's no surpriser that FilmDistrict, EOne and Sony have already greenlit a third paranormal horror - although the chances of director James Wan returning are pretty slim.

The Wolverine 2
Director : James Mangold
Cast : Hugh Jackman
Genre : Action
Plot : Given the continued popularity of Wolverine on the big screen, it should come as no surprise that he's tipped to get another solo outing after this year's successful The Wolverine .
Though Fox is yet to green light the project, Hugh Jackman's keen on playing the growly mutant for an eighth time. Mangold's expected to return to direct, plus write the first draft of the script, which will no doubt deal with the fall-out of X-Men: Days Of Future Past , in which Wolverine's a main player.
