Nintendo confirms new Pikmin game will be shown at E3
And we get the impression Miyamoto can't wait to show us
We already reported that Nintendo/Miyamoto confirm new Mario game for E3 reveal, but it turns out Mario wasn't the only new game that Miyamoto said would be shown at E3 this year. Now, normally we'd take any story sourced as 'Google Translate' as a pinch of salt, but Nintendo itself has told us directly:
“In a recent interview, Mr Miyamoto confirmed that Pikmin will be shown at E3 this year and that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past, from the beginning to the last one, will enjoy playing. Nothing further will be disclosed at this time.”
Firstly, WOOT! Secondly, that's as official as official can be. Although we hasten to add this still could actually mean we're getting Pikmin Dance or Pikmin Party as the '3' itself was not explicitly stated. We've had our hopes dashed before.
Above: Why are you just lying there? Your yellow brother needs help! Lazy bastards...
But no, we're going to say that this is Pikmin 3, it's likely to be a launch game for Wii U and we're likely to be playing it this very year. Let the good times roll.
