New poster arrives for The Cabin In The Woods
Joss Whedon's horror will mess with your head
A new teaser poster has been released for mystery horror The Cabin In The Woods , and very foreboding it is too.
Neatly presenting the titular cabin as a Rubik’s cube puzzle, the new poster trades heavily on the film’s mystery element, with the tagline, “You think you know the story,” setting the eerie mood off nicely.
So what is the story then? Well, Chris Hemsworth will be starring as a young professional who pays a weekend visit to a homely but isolated cottage with a group of friends.
Now, anyone who’s seen Evil Dead could have told him how that's likely to turn out, and sure enough, the group of hapless weekenders soon realise there’s something very wrong with their new accommodation…
The film has been co-written by Joss Whedon and Cloverfield ’s Drew Goddard, with Goddard also taking on directorial duties. Meanwhile, Hemsworth will be backed up by a supporting cast including Bradley Whitford, Kristen Connolly and Richard Jenkins.
Rumour has it that The Cabin In The Woods is a genuinely terrifying return to the haunted house genre, and the film will be scaring UK audiences stiff from 13 April 2012. You can check out the new poster in full, below…
