New Red Dead Redemption DLC zombifies the Wild West, also undead grizzlies FTW

If there was one thing Rockstar’s incredible Western adventure was lacking, it was zombie armadillos. Thankfully, the upcoming Undead Nightmare pack looks set to put that little omission right.Below, you’ll find out all the details of this new single-player DLC, which will see everyone’s favourite tortured outlaw John Marston trying to find a cure for a zombie plague that’s spreading across the Old West.

The coolest developer on the planet says the new pack is primarily a single-player adventure and will see the game’s shanty towns and cemeteries come alive with zombie cowboys. New mythical creatures are also promised, along with zombie animals. Honestly, if you’re not excited about the prospect of hunting rotting bobcats, you’re officially dead inside.

Undead Nightmare will also include right new multiplayer zombie characters, new single-player challenges, quests and dynamic events. The pack will set you back 800 MS Points or $9.99 on PSN (we’d guess £7.99 for peeps in the UK). Expectit to be released sometime near Halloween.

If you can’t wait until then to get back in the saddle, you’ll probably want to check out the Liars and Cheats pack, which gets released tomorrow. It may not have brain-eating armadillos, but it does have multiplayer horse racing and a new Explosive Rifle.
