New The Walking Dead season 8 teaser trailer has guns, the tiger, and more guns
You get a gun! And you get a gun! Everybody gets a gun! That seems to be the philosophy at play in the latest teaser trailer for The Walking Dead season 8. It’s promising “all out war” for our newest corpse capers when the show returns on October 22. You can watch the new teaser, complete with a tiger, for yourself over at ComicBook.com.
There are some big-time rallying cries going up from the various camps this time around. Rick Grimes commands that “those who use and take and kill, we end them!” King Ezekiel is equally emphatic, stating that “This journey will not end in retreat.” Based on what we’re seeing in the trailer, it looks like forces are mobilizing for a huge showdown against Negan. What’s Negan think of that? Well, he’s snarling and smacking Lucille into a desk, so we can safely assume it’s nothing good.
The show’s team has already been giving viewers an early heads up that the eighth season will be loaded with action. “Every time you turn around, somebody’s shooting something or blowing something up,” said actor Seth Gilliam, who plays Father Gabriel. And as happens with so many bullets and blow-ups, there will be casualties. “Big deaths,” in fact, according to showrunner Scott M. Gimple. Given some of the particularly surprising developments of last season, nobody is safe. Gather your tissue boxes and plan to lose at least one of your favorites. Hey, it’s better to be prepared.
The Walking Dead’s eighth season stars Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Seth Gilliam, Danai Gurira, Lennie James, Andrew Lincoln, Alanna Masterton, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Chandler Riggs, and Christian Serratos.
