It's only a handful of seconds long, but new footage posted to the official Star Wars Instagram account shows something we've yet to see in motion in any of the previously released trailers or stills (so be warned that if you want to totally avoid spoilers, this isn't the clip you're looking for): one of our heroes, Finn, holding a lightsaber as he gets ready to face down Kylo Ren, the villain wielding the ragged red lightsaber so infamously brandished in early footage from the film.
As far as we know from what little details have been given, Kylo Ren is not a proper Sith, nor is Finn a proper Jedi. Yet. The two are newcomers to the war between the Dark and Light sides of the Force, each one fumbling their way through the galactic conflict.
Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens will open on December 18.
