Today we got a look at a new Star Wars: The Old Republic developer walkthrough for a low-level flashpoint called the Esseles, which is the name of the ship transporting the group of players in the video to the planet Croissant. As the players navigate their way through the starship, Director of Production Dallas Dickinson explains what's going on — from cryo grenades to force leaps.
Probably the most interesting part of the video is how the game handles dialogue by letting each player roll to determine who gets to choose what to say. It'll be interesting to see if these choices have much effect on gameplay and how seriously party members take their responsibility for the group's conversations.
This event is designed to take place with characters that are around level nine, so it's still early in the game and doesn't give much away about the story. Still, we do get the sense that these Empire guys (or “Emps”) really need someone to step in and teach them a thing or two about interstellar politics.
