New Suicide Squad footage delivers more villainous mayhem
We're less than two months away from Suicide Squad - now confirmed to be rated PG-13 - and more snippets of footage will doubtless be emerging online the closer we get to August. Case in point, some hitherto unseen seconds of villain action can be glimpsed in a new TV spot for David Ayer's highly anticipated film, and you can seek them out below...
Trailer editors are often unsung heroes when it comes to movie marketing, but cleverly put-together footage can often be the difference when it comes to getting potential audiences interested in checking out a film. The vast majority of Suicide Squad's promos have been slickly edited, and that is once again the case for this TV spot. The first 9 seconds are particularly impressive, cleverly merging sounds and dialogue from the film into a simple drum beat. With any luck, the movie itself will be just as slick and entertaining.
Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on August 5, 2016.
