New Syndicate trailer shows off weapons and attachments and blood and dead bodies
Alternate fire? Innovation!
EA's controversial reboot of the classic PC RTS The Syndicate might still be causing fans of the original to tear out their hair, but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't get excited about it. The Starbreeze developed FPS looks like an interesting adventure in killing people, and after watching this new trailer and seeing the wide variety of weapons we'll be using to kill said people we're even more interested.
Most of them are fairly standard (shotguns, sniper rifles, assault rifles, rocket launchers - don't you live that this is par for the course in shooters?), but the Super Weapons shown off near the end look like they could be an absolute blast to mess around with. The trailer also demonstrates the alternate modes of some of the more traditional weapons briefly , which takes the typical guns and makes them decidedly atypical. Seeing through walls and switching sights on the fly should make for killing the aforementioned people even more rewarding than we originally thought, and we're looking forward to checking them out more in person when the game comes out next year.
