New teaser poster for Carrie remake
There will be blood
The first teaser poster has been released for Kimberly Peirce’s remake of classic horror movie Carrie , and its every bit as bloody as we could have hoped for.
The new movie will retell Stephen King’s famous story of a teenage girl suffering the usual angst of fitting in at high school while also dealing with the mother from hell and some burgeoning telekinetic powers.
Chloë Grace Moretz will be stepping into the blood-spattered shoes of Sissy Spacek, and speaking of splatter, there’s plenty of it on display in the new poster. “You will know her name” booms the tagline, ominously.
A teaser trailer was screened at the New York Comic-Con this weekend, and hopefully that should be making its way online in the coming days. Featuring a camera soaring down a burning street, it brings the viewer into a sudden face-to-face with Carrie, accompanied by the voiceover, “She wasn’t a monster… she was just a girl.”
Co-starring Julianne Moore, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday, Carrie opens in the UK on 5 April 2013. You can check out the poster in full, below…
