New Hit-Girl trailer for Kick-Ass 2: watch now
Justice Forever assembles…
Kick-Ass 2 has released a new trailer online, focusing upon the heroic side of proceedings, as vigilante group Justice Forever is formed.
Whereas the previous trailer zeroed in on Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s increasingly horrible villain, The Motherfucker, this new teaser brings the focus squarely upon Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and their new companions.
Justice Forever is a kind of super-group of vigilantes, presided over by Jim Carrey’s unhinged badass Colonel Stars & Stripes, that serve as a kind of low-rent Avengers. Very low-rent indeed…
Take a look at the new trailer, below:
Carrey is clearly firing on all cylinders to steal the show here, but it’s good to see the mismatched chemistry between Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl is as nerdily awkward as ever.
Directed by Jeff Wadlow and co-starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz and Donald Faison, Kick-Ass 2 will open in the US on 19 July 2013.
