New Warhammer Online trailer
"I'm even contemplating almost playing one," says the MMO's creative director
Sept 4, 2007
A new trailer from EA Mythic focusing on its in-development MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning lifts the lid on the High Elf Swordmaster character class.
The game's creative director, Paul Barnett, who features in the trailer and talks us through the class, describes the Swordmaster as "proto-Jedi."
"They're so over the top in the way they've learned to use their swords," Barnett continues, "that they basically do sword dances that allows them to build up energy and build up super-brilliant attacks - combos... they're all about doing a lot of damage very quickly."
The commentary is backed up by artwork and, more importantly, in-game animations of the Swordmaster twirling his blade.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is due on PC in early 2008.
