New Wipeout is imminent. A job advert says so
More Wipeout HD add-ons, or that whole new game we've been coveting?
The ad says that Studio Liverpool is looking for "an experienced and upbeat Senior Designer to work with a talented and experienced team on a high profile, futuristic racing franchise". What couldthat mean!? The job specification goes on to detail the design of game features, tracks and community features. So, conclusions?
Studio Liverpool is working on either another huge update to Wipeout HD a la the Fury DLC, or a whole new Wipeout game. And given the mention of track design (Wipeout HD has so far made use only of reworked tracks from the PSP games), I'm currently swinging towards the latter. PS3? Very probably, though we could of course be looking at a PSP2 launch title, given the talk of dev kits for Sony's next hand-held running rampant in the wild. Either way though, if the studio is still on the look-out for designers, the mystery Wipeout game is probably a way off.
So, what do you hope this yet-to-be-employed designer is going to be working on?
