Newly-released Euro 2016 PES DLC comes with 199 updated player faces
PES 2016's free-to-download Euro 2016 DLC is out today – and contains 199 new or updated facial likenesses, including 2015-16 Premier League surprise packages Dele Alli (Spurs), Danny Drinkwater, Riyah Mahrez (both Leicester) and Odion Ighalo (Watford).
The on-the-ball among you will note this is something of a surprise given that both Mahrez and Ighalo aren't actually European.
The reason for their inclusion is that the Euro 2016 DLC ties in with Data Pack 3, an (also-free) update for various cosmetic elements across the game. In addition to players from each licensed Euro squad, Mahrez, Ighalo, Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny and Palace's Emmanuel Adebayor have had their proper likenesses added. (And in most cases, they're an improvement on FIFA's.)
Independent site PESFan has come up with a full list of all players updated in this way.
The Euro 2016 download includes a mode in which you can play out the tournament, as well as the Stade de France stadium, official match ball, and kits for Italy, Germany, Spain, Iceland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Northern Ireland, and Wales. Strips for France, Turkey, England, Portugal and Croatia will follow at a later date.
Data Pack 3, meanwhile, adds kits for an assortment of teams such as Willem II, Groningen, Udinese, Flemango, and Corinthians, 1400 in-game attribute amendments (including a big hike for lethal Leicester marksman Jamie Vardy), plus 10 sets of boots and the Champions League final match ball.
It's all available free, right now, if you already own PES 2016. Alternatively you can buy Euro 2016 as a standalone disc (including all PES content released so far) for PS4 and PS3 from 21 April.

I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
