Nicolas Cage discusses almost playing Superman
Exclusive: “I was going to have giant Samurai hair”
In issue 219 of Total Film magazine , we chat to Nicolas Cage about his new film Joe – and we couldn't resist asking him about his previous links to Tim Burton's disbanded Superman film .
Inside the issue - which is available for just £1.99 on your iPad - Cage talks about why he wanted to play Superman, and even reveals how his Supes might have looked.
"I know it would be a good match," Cage says of his desire to work with Burton. "But I have no regrets. I'm a big believer that the right person for the part is the one that winds up making the movie."
He goes on to add: "I was going to have giant black, Samurai hair and make him very different."
Joe is out in the UK on 25 July.
