Nine mini-games you've never seen
Games within games: dumbassed, unappreciated or just plain obscure
Mr Moskeeto (PS2, 2002)
We’re not at all surprised to find a mini-game called ‘Reckless Cyclist’ in a game that’s about controlling a mosquito. You goal is to bite members of a Japanese family, and slurp up enough blood to move onto the next stage, and not get squished by an irritated hand. Cheers, Japan!
Reckless Cyclist – unlocked by rotating the analogue stick clockwise 20 times at the title screen – is a two-player duel. Staged atop a giant concrete column in the sky, you have to pedal into the other player hard enough to knock them off. Suddenly, being a mosquito doesn’t seem like such a daft idea.
