When is the E3 2017 Nintendo Direct?

Nintendo doesn't play by quite the same rules as the other major players at E3, and does not have a "press conference" per se - there is no massive stage, no dazzling lights, no real physical presence to speak of save for a booth on the show floor.

Instead, the company will host one of its unique Nintendo Direct streams. For some reason Nintendo is calling this a "Nintendo Spotlight" but let's stick with one proper name for sake of simplicity, shall we? Below you'll find everything you need to know about Nintendo's event.

Be sure to check out our pages detailing Sony's 2017 E3 conference and Microsoft's 2017 E3 conference as well. And for the full E3 2017 schedule, head to our main page.

When is the E3 2017 Nintendo Direct?

The E3 2017 Nintendo Direct will start at 9am Pacific / 5pm BST on June 13. It'll be a short presentation, with the Nintendo Treehouse (a livestream show with guests, live demos, interviews and more) set to begin at 9:30am Pacific / 5:30pm BST the same day. Nintendo Treehouse will be back June 14 and June 15, starting at 10am Pacific / 6pm BST.

Where can I watch the E3 2017 Nintendo Direct?

As you might've expected, Nintendo will livestream the E3 2017 Nintendo Direct presentation - as well as Nintendo Treehouse and a variety of other events - straight from its own website. You can also check out the Nintendo YouTube channel, or just watch the embedded Twitch channel below.

What games will be at the E3 2017 Nintendo Direct?

Last E3, Nintendo surprised everyone by dedicating most of its time to just two games: Pokemon Sun / Moon and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Of those two, Zelda was the only one playable, and Nintendo decked out its entire booth with tons of BotW statues and props. We expect to see more software this time around thanks to the newly-launched Nintendo Switch, but there will likely be strong focus on Super Mario Odyssey.

Splatoon 2 and Arms will also have some presence, though Nintendo has already set aside time for those games to host their own tournaments. Therefore, we don't expect they'll take up much time during the Nintendo Direct presentation itself.
