Nintendo shares new Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance trailer
Sora goes Keyblade crazy in new footage from Nintendo's press conference
Nintendo has delivered a new trailer for Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS. The clip hails from the Big N's recent online press conference, and showcases a cutscene and gameplay footage from the upcoming sequel. Oddly enough, despite being entirely in Japanese, the story actually seems easier to follow than some of the more recent English-language Kingdom Hearts spin-offs:
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is the seventh chapter in the Final Fantasy/Disney hybrid series, and takes place after Kingdom Hearts Coded. It follows Sora and Riku as they take on the Mark of Mastery test to become official Keyblade Masters in order to stop a newly resurrected Xenohart; a task which requires them to unlock the 'The Keyhole of Sleep' by 'waking up' key worlds which remain emerged in sleep and are under attack from the gnarly, interdimensional Dream Eaters. Trust us, it'll all make sense. Give yourself a heads up with our hands-on preview from last month.
Sora's next adventure will be ready for the 3DS next Spring.

Kingdom Hearts 4 has been radio silent for 1,005 days, but don’t worry - Tetsuya Nomura teases he has the story planned out
The original Kingdom Hearts was initially "more hardcore" until Square Enix toned it down: "We had some puzzles in there that would make you go, 'what is this, Takeshi's Challenge?'"
