Oblivion copycat done from home

A developer behind the game at the centre of aplagiarism rowhas said that the title was entirely their creation.

Laurence Francis, one of a trio behind Limbo of the Lost developer Majestic Studios, made the claim to his local paper in an interview on May 2.

"Between the three of us we researched, wrote, designed, animated, scripted and developed the whole game from home," he said.

The allegations of plagiarism started when a writer noticed similarities between the title and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Since then, gamers have foundother instances that seem all-too familiar. Comparisons have been made to Thief 3, UT2004, WoW, Vampire: Bloodlines and even Crysis.

Distributor Tri Synergy has pulled the game from shelves and has said it's waiting for a response from Majestic Studios. So far, the development company has been unavailable for comment to anyone except the afore quoted newspaper.
