Outdoor film fest coming to UK
Sun, Stella and slaying under the stars as Kill Bill kicks off the Studio Artois Live event
Most dedicated movie-goers are happy when the heat gets turned up around this time of year – it means less people battling for bum-space at the local multiplex. Still, with it being so hot that the Total Film basement smells like an Orc’s undies, it would be nice to get outside and combine cinema with sun.
And… as if by magic… this coming weekend is the Studio Artois Live event, the UK’s first ever outdoor film festival and it’s happening in Greenwich Park.
20,000 people are expected to roll out the picnic blankets for the two day event that will include headline screenings of Quentin Tarantino’s slap ‘n’ slice-fest Kill Bill on Saturday 22 July and the John Hughes ‘80s teen classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on Sunday 23 July.
