Patrick Swayze has cancer
But reports of his condition have been exaggerated...
Sad news to report this morning as Patrick Swayze has revealed he has pancreatic cancer.
But don’t count the hero of Dirty Dancing and Road House out just yet – despite murky tabloid reports that he only has five weeks to live, he’s hit back via his representative to set the record straight. According to his doctor: “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”
And he’s keeping up a full schedule- he has a movie (Powder Blue) scheduled for release and is about to start shooting FBI TV movie The Beast. Our best wishes to him and his family – and somewhere in Sanford we picture PC Danny Butterman watching Point Break for the 700th time in solidarity.
