Paul Bettany to play Charles Darwin
Jennifer Connelly to co-star in Evolutionist’s biopic
Acting together for the first time since A Beautiful Mind, Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly’s relationship is about to face the toughest test a married pair can face when working together – can they stand each other after being on set together all day?
We’re guessing the pair won’t have a problem, but they’ll have plenty of time to find out. They’ve signed up to play Charles and Emma Darwin in Jon Amiel’s biopic Creation, according to Variety .
The story will follow Darwin’s life as a young man, a period coloured by tragedy thanks to the death of a child.
Amiel will be working from a script by Master And Commander scribe John Colley. He plans to kick off shooting later this month in London, with a cast that also includes Toby Jones, Jeremy Northam and Benedict Cumberbatch.
