Paul Feig confirmed to direct Ghostbusters 3
The Heat’s Katie Dippold writing the script
Ghostbusters 3 has taken a significant step forward, with Paul Feig confirming that he will be occupying the director’s chair for the long-anticipated sequel.
Feig had previously been linked to the position, but given the amount of false-starts that have plagued the project over the years, it had been easy to take the rumour with a pinch of salt.
However, Feig has now personally confirmed his involvement, while also announcing that The Heat screenwriter Katie Dippold will also be on board to write the script.
“It's official,” said Feig via Twitter. “I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call.”
So after years of speculation, it looks like this one is finally happening. If nothing else, we’re happy that Dan Aykroyd has finally got his wish. It’s been a long time coming…
