The first trailer has appeared online for Showtime’s new drama series Billions, in which Damien Lewis and Paul Giamatti go head to head as a crooked hedge fund kingpin and US Attorney respectively…
The two men will engage in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, as Giamatti attempts to prove that Lewis’ fortune has been accrued through non-legal means. Cue much snarled posturing as the two men set about dispensing macho one-liners to anyone who’ll listen!

While some of the dialogue sounds a little clunky in places (“what’s the point in having fuck you money if you never say ‘fuck you’”), Giamatti and Lewis are as engaging as you’d expect, and there’s a scuzzy glossiness to this one that has us drawn in. Co-starring Malin Akerman and Maggie Siff, Billions will debut on January 17 2016.
