Payday 2 essentials guide and walkthrough
The Heists
Bank Heist
Bank Heist is Payday 2's classic job - a bank robbery. You need to get in, open the safe, get the money, and get out.
The bank vault can change locations, so casing the bank to determine its location is key, especially if you're taking a stealthy approach. You need the thermal drill no matter what to actually get in, so you'll need to compensate for noise. Keep your mask off until you get a good feel for the safe spawn point.
Of all jobs, this one is the most likely to be done with brute force. If you plan on going in guns blazing, be sure to bring a Doctor Bag and an Ammo Bag. The storage room in the middle of the bank is a good place to hold out, leaving you just two small entrances to guard. Should another assault occur when the vault is opened, the vault also makes a perfect place for a shootout.
If you take the stealthy approach, you'll need to acquire the manager's key, which can spawn on the manager himself, or within his office. With this in hand, you'll have an easy way into the security room, where you can take out the guard manning the cameras.
Finally, you'll notice that this job will require you to get either the cash from the vault or goodies from within the deposit boxes inside the vault. In either case, you can always pick the locks on the deposit boxes for quick, additional cash.
