PAYDAY: The Heist delayed
Co-op shooter now scheduled to launch later this October
If you were looking forward to PAYDAY: The Heist, you’ll need to be a little patient. Developer Overkill Software has announced that the four-player co-op shooter, originally scheduled to release on October 6th, will be launching later this month.
“This delay is a move to ensure players and fans of our promise and vision to produce high-caliber games that deliver the best quality game experience,” said Overkill in a prepared statement. If you participated in SCEA’s PlayStation Network PLAY initiative for a free voucher for PAYDAY: The Heist, hang tight. You’ll still get your gratis game later when the title launches.
The delay is a little disappointing. But if it means a more polished launch, we’re all for it. While you’re waiting, check out our most recent hands-on preview that explains how to steal $8 million from a drug dealer in PAYDAY’s “Panic Room” heist.
