Penumbra: Overture spooky movie

This video of Penumbra: Overture, the first episode in a spooky PC adventure game set in an underground facility in Greenland, offers a glimpse of Penumbra's impressive physics gameplay.

Dull as that may sound, this eerie survival-horror title promises some thoughtful and heavily atmospheric action. Hit the movies tab above to watch the footage.

Above: Penumbra isn't your usual trigger-happy action - enemies are to be feared and avoiding combat is your best defence

Alert gamers may recognize Penumbra from its previous incarnation as a downloadable freebie. Overture has been beefed up with new gameplay features, including a melee combat system, stronger and more intelligent physics gameplay, and acts as the first episode in the series, with two more adventures to follow after the game's release next year.

For a taster, download the game from the developer's website or take a peek at the screenshots we've collated on our images tab above.
