The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is finally in cinemas now, telling the story of Bilbo Baggins, some 60 years before The Lord Of The Rings .
We sat down with Martin Freeman, who plays Bilbo, and director Peter Jackson to discuss the trilogy launcher.
Freeman explains what it was like stepping into the furry feet of the titular Hobbit and how he felt seeing himself in the film’s new-fangled 48 frames-per-second projection rate.
And Jackson explains where original director Guillermo del Toro’s influence can be felt in the film, and discusses the prospect of following up a film series as successful as The Lord Of The Rings .
