Peter Sarsgaard is Hector Hammond!
Actor set to join cast of Green Lantern...
After the announcement of the film’s March shooting date, details for Green Lantern are really snowballing on us.
Following the casting of Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard is in negotiations to play the film’s villain, Dr Hector Hammond.
A pathologist who never lived up to his father’s expectations, Dr Hammond is imbued with psychic abilities when he comes across a meteor. Which seems to suggest that the Green Lantern movie will be sticking closely to the comic book storyline Green Lantern: Secret Origins , by Geoff Johns.
Rumours still abound that Jackie Earle Haley, soon to be seen as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, is being lined up to play alien supervillain Sinestro. Let’s just hope director Martin Campbell doesn’t gets a bad case of Too-Many-Villains-Itis with this one.
Is Sarsgaard a good choice for Hammond? Yell at us down there...
