Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 gets new title and synopsis
Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 has revealed its official title, with Disney officially confirming that the new film will be known as Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
While that has pretty much been an open secret for a while now, the studio has also released a brand new synopsis, shedding some light on what we can expect from round five…
“Thrust into an all-new adventure,” begins the blurb, “a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea… including him.
“Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artefact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.”
It's worth noting that the press release doesn’t mention an official release date, placing a question mark over the previously reported plan for the film to arrive on July 7 2017...
Directed by Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will introduce new cast members Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites alongside returning stars Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush and Stephen Graham.
