Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 delays filming
Potentially pushed back to 2016
Disney has delayed filming on Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 , with rumours emerging that the film may be pushed back into a 2016 release date.
Initially slated to open in the US on 10 July 2015, the film will now likely be shelved for a year, with cameras not set to roll until the studio is entirely happy with the project.
Disney’s reason for the delay? Apparently they want to ensure that the film is as good as it can possibly be, with reservations that Jeff Nathanson’s script isn't quite ready. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer told The Hollywood Reporter , "We have an outline everyone loves but the script is not done."
Plot details are non-existent at this stage, although it has been rumoured that the film will appear under the title Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales .
Kon-Tiki duo Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg will co-direct, while Johnny Depp will return once more for a fifth outing as Captain Jack Sparrow.
