Depp says he’ll do it; the scriptwriter has been assigned
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides may not have even hit cinema screens yet but Disney is already moving forward with the fifth film in the franchise, reports Deadline . The Mouse House has closed a deal with scripter Terry Rossio to write Pirates 5 ; he worked ion all the previous four films with writing partner Ted Elliot, who apparently will not be on board this time. Disney also hopes that On Stranger Tides director Rob Marshall will again call on the shots on the fifth movie.
Although no deal has yet been struck with Johnny Depp (Captain Jack), the actor was quoted yesterday on Entertainment Weekly saying that he was up for the idea: “As long as we can put all the puzzle pieces together, I would most definitely consider it,” he said.
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is released in the UK on 18 May.
