Play Expo in Manchester is a celebration of all things gaming - get your tickets now

Play Expo is an upcoming UK event taking place on October 13-14 at Manchester's EventCity and tickets are on sale now. Previously known as the Replay Expo, this year's event has a new name and promises even more for gaming enthusiasts to get hyper-turbo excited about.

There will be a stack of new and unreleased games for attendees to play, with exhibitors EA, Nintendo, Konami and Namco Bandai all showing off their latest titles. Retro and classic game fans will also be well catered for, with a glorious parade of arcade games (and pinball machines) to go misty-eyed for all begging to be played, as well as a staggeringly comprehensive collection of gaming machines through the ages.

And there's more. A whole host of tournaments will be taking place over the weekend, with eSports specialists the European Gaming League running the expo's dedicated pro.play area. Get involved if you think you've got the skills - there will be cash prizes up for grabs.

There will be talks from industry figures, with Martin Edmondson (co-founder of Reflections Interactive (now Ubisoft Reflections) and creator of the Driver series) and Sumo Digital's Steve Lycett both confirmed. The cosplay area (did we mention there's a cosplay area?) will also have community talks covering everything from costume construction to wig styling.

Oh, and Future Publishing (who make the official PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo magazines as well as a bunch of other gaming related media like, oh, GamesRadar) will also be there.

Basically, Play Expo has got loads going on and you won't want to miss it.
