PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale public beta begins tomorrow
PS Plus, PS Vita owners get early access, all PS3 owners invited on October 23
The battle begins early for Sony mascots and friends this week. Sony today announced it will open a public beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale on October 16 for PlayStation Plus subscribers and PS Vita owners, and on October 23 for all PlayStation 3 owners.
Beta fighters will be able to try out Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess across two stages in four-player and two-versus-two online tournaments, with friend invites for the latter. PS3 and PS Vita players will be able to compete in the same matches with cross-play.
The brawler will release on November 20 with cross-buy, meaning players who buy the PS3 version will receive a complimentary download code for PS Vita. For more on the upcoming smash-and-mash-up, check out nine reasons why we're excited for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
