To celebrate the launch of its new, all-powerful Core2 Extreme processor, Intel is staging an event not to be missed - the Intel Extreme Gaming Tournament at i29, which will bring gamers together in a battle to the very last frag and give them the chance to walk away with more than £10,000 in prizes.
The LAN event will take place at Newbury Racecourse Grandstand on 10-12 November with both regular gamers and professional clans duking it out on Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, Warcraft III and more besides.
Also taking place is an online tournament, which kicks off on 5 November and has a great stash of goodies up for grabs - an Alienware Area-51 7500 gaming PC and graphics cards worth £500 must be won.
So, if you think you've got the skills to pay the bills, head over to www.intel.gamesradar.com for more details and all the information on how to sign up for these brilliant events. As tournaments go, these are going to be absolute humdingers - don't miss out.
