Pokemon Bank and Transporter coming in December

If you're eager to transfer all your trusty Pokemon from Black and White to Pokemon X and Y when it releases on Oct. 12, you'll have to wait a bit. Nintendo today announced when Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter will launch on the eShop in North America.

The storage and transfer apps allow users to store up to 3,000 Pokemon online, and upload all of their scrappy monsters from Black and White 1 and 2 to the service in one easy sweep. The bundled apps come with a free month-long trial if used before Jan. 31, 2014, but you'll have to pay an annual fee of $5 to use the service after that. Check Nintendo's FAQ for more details.

Looks like you'll have some time to get acquainted with your Kalos Pokemon before the old guard can join them.
