A favorite of Team Plasma, Choroneko and its evolution Leopardas are a handsome Dark-type pair, although their stats aren't anything too special. Still, Leopardas can be helpful throughout the game, especially against the fourth gym if your Leopardas has the Limber ability, and of course, against all those Psychic trainers. On the battling side, its Dream World ability Mischievous Heart (note: this is another new ability and we're still waiting on the official English translation) has the potential for some annoying competitive strategies, especially since Taunt lasts three turns this generation, although Encore has been downgraded to only three turns as well. It's also worth noting that Leopardas doesn't have any SAtk STAB moves whatsoever, unless you get a Dark-type Hidden Power.
Join us next week as we continue to make our way through the Isshu Pokedex. The Pokemon only get more exciting from here!
