Note that I am putting the Pokemon in national mode order. This is just
because... it is. I have also added to each Pokemon's list of egg moves
what I think is the best move out of the list. They are just
my opinions, don't always trust them (don't say I didn't warn you).
If I have left out an egg move of some sort, or put one where it
shouldn't be, or other random stuff to do with egg moves, e-mail me
at maxporzig@hotmail.com.
To make your search easier, press Ctrl + F (for Mac users press the
key with the apple and other thing on it + F) and type in the name or
number of the Pokemon you wish to see the egg moves for.

III. Version
----------
----------
1.00: After a lack of updates for almost 2 years now, I decided to
skip 0.98 and put in almost everything I could think of. New egg moves
from HeartGold/SoulSilver have been added (and marked with an
asterisk). Misc. Info section added so I could explain more specific
aspects of egg moves/breeding. I changed a few more "best"
moves. Some random grammar mistakes were fixed as well.
0.96: Removed by real-life name from the page for security reasons.
I can't think of much else to add (or subtract) at the moment (for now,
anyway).
0.94: Changed 'Update' section to 'Version' section. Added in what
egg move chains are. Updated A LOT of the best egg moves (what was I
thinking putting Smellingsalt ahead of Close Combat on Granbull?).
0.92: Added updates section. Added a section to explain what egg
moves are. Added Volt Tackle to Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu's list of egg
moves. Fixed up what to type in for Mac users to search for Pokemon.
Changed favourite egg move for Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu from Wish to Charge
(I'm getting a bit too specific, aren't I?).

IV. What are Egg Moves?
----------
----------
This was e-mailed to me a fair bit so I decided to add this section in.
An 'egg move' is a technique that can only be obtained through
breeding. To get these moves, you put two Pokemon in the day-care
center - with the female one being the Pokemon you want to have receive
the move, and the male one being the Pokemon who knows the egg move you
want your Pokemon to receive. The egg that hatches will be of the
female Pokemon or its family, and will know the 'egg move' that was
passed down from the male Pokemon. NOTE: If the two Pokemon in the
daycare prefer to play with other Pokemon, this will not work. In other
words, they have to be in the same 'egg/breeding group'.
Here is an example: Say I want to get a Swinub to learn Ancientpower,
so I can get Mamoswine later. I would look for a Pokemon that it can
breed with that can learn Ancientpower. So say I found that Kecleon
learns Ancientpower, and can breed with the Piloswine family. I would
try to get a female Swinub/Piloswine, and a male Kecleon to level up
and learn Ancientpower. Once Kecleon knows Ancientpower, I would chuck
both Pokemon into the daycare center and wait for an egg to come. Once
the egg hatches it will have a Swinub that knows Ancientpower.
If you can't find a Pokemon that learns the egg move desired that can
breed with your Pokemon, then you will have to make what is called an
'egg move chain'. An egg move chain involves more than just one other
pokemon to get an egg move to the desired recipient. For example,
you want to breed Ice Punch onto Sneasel; You find that nothing that
can breed directly with Sneasel can learn Ice Punch. You have to find
another pokemon that can learn Ice Punch as an egg move that can also
breed with Sneasel, as well as other pokemon that Sneasel cannot
breed with. Eventually, you find Buneary fills that role; and you
discover that it can breed with Hitmonchan and Medicham who learn
Ice Punch. You then breed Ice Punch from Hitmonchan/Medicham to
Buneary, and then breed from Buneary to Sneasel. Simple (or not, I
can't really tell).
Also, it is possible to breed across more than one egg move at a
time, although it is a lot harder to do, and some combinations of egg
moves are impossible to breed to certain Pokemon.
