Pokemon Go On Then: bizarre new mobile game is all about teaching Magikarp to jump
Tired of getting the runaround in Pokemon Go? The newest official Pokemon mobile game lets you train up a pocket monster to do all the moving for you, and it's called Magikarp Jump. You've probably played aquarium games before, but I'm willing to bet you haven't played one where the ultimate goal is to train the greatest leaping fish in the world.
An entire game about cultivating the most useless Pokemon to perform an intrinsically worthless task… this is truly some next-level stuff. And unlike Pokemon Go, you'll never have to leave your house to work your way through the leagues of Magikarp Jump contenders. Yes, of course there are leagues dedicated to jumping Magikarp, Pokemon has leagues for everything.
You can download Magikarp Jump on iOS and Android right now. Or if you want to get more out of the games you already have, read about the secrets and tricks Pokemon games never tell you about.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
