Preparing for the Rise of Darkrai
Darkrai makes an outstanding Special Sweeper. Its Speed and Special Attack stats are well suited for this style. A move set comprised of Dark Void, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, and Focus Blast gives it some excellent coverage. The idea is to put your opponent to sleep with Dark Void and collect incremental damage with Bad Dreams. Dark Pulse is a great STAB (same type attack bonus) move that benefits from Darkrai's typing. Ice Beam takes out all of those pesky dragons (and a few other types), while Focus Blast is there primarily for taking out Blisseys and Dialgas. Of course, your team might be stacked with these types of moves. Thunder, Thunderbolt, Spacial Rend and Psychic are also good choices, depending on what your team needs.

Our favorite way to use Darkrai is to make it a powerful annoyer (yes, we just made that term up). This move set consists of Dark Void, Dark Pulse, Calm Mind, and Spacial Rend. The Leftovers item is ideal for this set. After putting your enemy to sleep with Dark Void, you can build up Special Attack and Special Defense with a few Calm Minds. You can be completely obnoxious and keeping putting your enemy to sleep and max out on Calm Minds! While your opponent's hitpoints are melting away due to Bad Dreams, your Darkrai is becoming a monster. After enough boosts, it should be able to kill most enemies with one hit of Dark Pulse or Spacial Rend.
