Pokemusings, week ten
Essential items for optimum EV training
In some cases, subtracting EV points is as important as gaining them. Say you've snagged a great Pokemon via trade or GTS. There's a pretty good chance that its EVs are all over the place. The same holds true for Pokemon veterans that are new to EV training; their prized Pokemon are probably not near their full potential. In these two cases, using berries to lower EVs is the way to go.
We mentioned three useful berries inPokemusings, Week Five- Kelpsy, Hondew, and Tamato berries. Not only do these berries make your Pokemon happier, they also lower your Pokemon's Attack, Special Attack, and Speed, respectively. Depending on the Pokemon you're raising and the EVs it needs, berries are a brilliant way to erase any unwanted EVs and give your Pokemon the opportunity to earn more in a desired stat.
