Head back over to Floaroma, and go up the the northern part of town. You’ll see a path leading into the trees, which is where you want to go. You’ll come out in a garden to see an old man being bossed around by Galactic thugs. Rather than fighting a two-on-two battle, they’ll challenge you one after the other. With only a couple of bugs and a Zubat in their pokemon ranks, they’re still not much of a threat.
After you send them packing, the old man will thank you and give you a key that they dropped. How perfectly convenient! He’ll also give you some Honey, which can be applied to gold-colored trees to lure certain Pokemon to you. You can buy additional supplies of Honey from him from this point on. Feel free to stock up!
Anyway, back to our main quest: saving pops. Head up to the door of the Windworks and use your newfound key to gain entry.
The Windworks building is actually pretty small. There’s a few Team Galactic goons standing around who will force you into a battle if they see you. They can be avoided, but they aren’t all that difficult and yield some decent EXP, so it might be to your benefit to take them on. What you really need to watch out for, however, is Mars – the Team Galacticcommander who’s in charge of the power plant. She’s got one particularly nasty surprise in store when you fight her. Check out the movie below and see what we mean.
Even better, the bridge to the rest of Route 205 is finally free of Galactic loiterers, allowing you to continue north. But before you cross, you might want to check your calendar. Is it Friday yet? If it is, there’s an opportunity waiting to snag a very strange new pokemon for your roster. Watch this clip to see just how to go about catching the tricky Drifloon.
There are more trainers along the way, which means more opportunity to earn money and lots of EXP. If your pokes get hurt or start running low on PPs for their skills, you might want to think twice before breaking out the potions or heading back to the Pokecenter, because you’re going to meet someone soon who will take care of all of that for you.
Unfortunately, part of the trail is blocked by shrubbery. Looks like you’re going to have to take a detour through the forest. Who knows what lurks within…?
