PokeWalkthrough
The Pokemon trainer's definitive guide to the sights and wildlife of Sinnoh
Congratulations, you’ve got your second Gym badge! Now that you’ve got use of Cut, you may want to use it to access previously unavailable areas surrounding Eterna Forest. It also makes it much easier to get back to Jubilife City, in case you wanted to stop by TV station for the lottery or access the GTS. You may also remember a building surrounded by shrubs towards the end of Eterna Forest. You can enter the building now, and see what sort of treasures (and pokes) it has to offer you. See our sidequests section for more info on this area.
Meanwhile, it appears that you’ll need a bike to reach the next area. Team Galactic is preventing you from getting said bike. This just won’t do! We’ll need to head up into the Team Galactic building to kindly ask them to cease and desist. Or perhaps kicking their butts and sending them running away crying will suffice.
Use Cut to clear away the bushes blocking your entrance to the building, and head inside. You can talk to the Galatic grunts inside if you want – some will fight you, while some will just blather on about how awesome and evil they are. None of them are particularly difficult, though.
Above: A mega-duel in the Galactic building. Boom! You just laid down the circles all up in his grill
On the top floor, you’ll encounter another Galactic leader, Jupiter. Think back to the Mars fight and you’ll have an idea of what to expect here – one fairly small-fry pokemon (in this case, a Zubat) and one evolved, high-level monstrosity (Skuntank). Zubat won’t be too tough to tackle - since you’ve fought so many of them already, you’ll know how to deal with them. This particular Zubat does have the Toxic skill, though, which can leave your poke badly poisoned. If your pokemon gets hit with this technique, make sure to cure it right away.
Skuntank is the real danger in this encounter, though. It’s got a whole ton of HP and uses Dark and Poison techniques. Poison types are usually weak against Psychic attacks, but Skuntank’s Dark type negates any Psychic damage, so don’t bother with those. Instead, try to nail it with the strongest attacks you’ve got. It’s weak against Ground attacks, but odds are you don’t have any of those at the moment, so you’ll really just need to tough it out. Use Glare, Tail Whip, and Screech to knock down its defenses if need be. Since it’s got such high HP and defense, it still may take several hits before it goes down. Jupiter won’t hesitate to give it Super Potions when she deems it necessary, either. It won’t be very easy, but if you keep at it, Skuntank will be disarmed.
You’ve sent Team Galactic packing, hooray! The owner of the local bike shop is ready to thank you by giving you one of his new-model bicycles. Put on your biker shorts, because we’re going to go riding!
