Pre-orders for Xbox One and PS4 nearly tied on Amazon UK
Microsoft leads by 2.3 percent as of this morning
Xbox One and PS4 are at a dead heat for pre-orders on Amazon U.K. The retail giant says Microsoft's console leads Sony's by 2.3 percent, but it's still anyone's game.
Xbox One is enjoying 20 percent more pre-orders than Xbox 360 did at the same point eight years ago. Neither of the two next-gen systems have a specific release date set, though Microsoft revealed earlier today that Xbox One will ship sometime in November and sell for $500/£430.
“Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are set to have a huge impact, not just in terms of cutting edge games but also as part of the way in which families enjoy home entertainment," Amazon UK Head of Video Games Ketu Patel said in a statement. "It will be fascinating to see how the battle between the two console giants develops over the coming months--the fight for who’s going to be the must-have Christmas present is only just beginning."

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
