Professor Layton anime will be available to British people
UK distribution announced for the first Professor Layton animated film
You lucky, lucky Brits. How we Layton fanboys in the US envy you today, for Manga Entertainment UK announced (viaTwitter) that they've gotten the UK distribution rights to the first Professor Layton anime feature film, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, which was recently released in Japan. Here’s a fan translated trailer for ya:
The discs are tentatively scheduled to drop in September, perhaps with a slightly different translation of the title. After watching the fancy cutscenes in the DS titles that have wandered over to the West, the thought of seeing a full-length anime of Layton tickled our fancies to no end. Here’s hoping, for the sake of us Yanks, this English localization will lead to another.
Note: Before you comment this, yes, we are well aware we could get a subtitled version of the film through nefarious internet voodoo. But we at GamesRadar are good girls and boys, and wouldn’t think of getting something illegitimately.
