Project Sylpheed - hands-on
Space-shooting insanity
Hardcore gamers will no doubt remember the PlayStation series Colony Wars - this space shooter plays a lot like that seminal franchise, trading narrator James Earl Jones for Japanese pilots with perfectly layered hair. It's a pretty solid blend of super colorful laser blasts (like Colony Wars) and melodramatic storytelling no one follows anyway (just like Ace Combat). A stirring tale no doubt, but we're confident you can skip all the wide-eyed anime girls and feathered hot shots and still bag the bad guys.
Project Sylpheed hits stores July 10, but there's already ademo ripe for downloading. Check it out for yourself, or hit ourMovies tab for the official trailer.
